Lewis Carroll

1832–1898 · Oxford

As Charles Dodgson he lectured in mathematics at Christ Church, Oxford, and as Lewis Carroll he wrote Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

He published Pillow Problems, puzzles to work out in your head while lying awake. This is his self-portrait photograph.
